A professional property caretaker manages the daily maintenance, security, and upkeep of residential or commercial properties, acting as the owner's representative to ensure everything runs smoothly, handling tasks from landscaping, cleaning, minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) to vendor coordination, security oversight, and seasonal preparations, preserving the property's value and condition, often working for absent owners or luxury estates.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs: Performing or arranging general upkeep, landscaping, cleaning, and addressing issues with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. We can even do some livestock care and feeding!
Security: Monitoring alarms, managing surveillance, collecting mail, and ensuring property security, especially when owners are away.
Vendor Management: Coordinating with housekeepers, landscapers, contractors, insurance adjusters and other service providers.
Seasonal Prep: Opening/closing vacation homes, preparing for owner arrivals, severe weather prep, pool prep or garden care. Ensuring that the home is ready for your arrival, including but not limited to vehicle prep.
Inventory and Supply Management: Stocking household essentials, including food, linens, and cleaning supplies.
Protect the value of your property with proper landscaping and maintenance while you are away.
