**Attention Retreat Lot Owners** As both a property owner for a lot at The Retreat in Cleburne, I recently discovered that the POA, Double Diamond at The Retreat, is imposing a **$20,000 transfer fee** when a lot is sold. After learning of this fee, I made multiple attempts to obtain documentation and a clear explanation of how it is calculated and justified, but I have not received the transparency I requested. I was also informed by the POA (Property Owners Association) that the transfer fee is **at the Developer's discretion**, meaning the Developer can determine the amount of the fee. Many lot owners may be completely unaware of this fee and could be blindsided when they decide to sell their property. Owners deserve transparency regarding significant costs that can impact the value and marketability of their investment. If you are a current lot owner at The Retreat and would like to join other owners in seeking greater transparency and exploring potential legal action regarding this matter.
